Bread Dumpling

Ingredients for about 6 persons:

  • 300 g bread cubes
  • 250 ml unsweetened herbal drink
  • 3 tbsp. soy flour oder potato starch
  • 2 - 3 tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable soup powder
  • 1 onion
  • 1 pinch of grated nutmeg
  • flour, salt
  • vegetable oil

Place the bread cubes in a bowl.

 

Mix the vegetabel soup powder in moderately warm herbal drink unti it is dissolved, then add parsley and grated nutmeg and pour the mixture over the bread cubes.

 

Chop the onion, sauté it in some vegetbale oil and, together with the soy flour (for the bonding) fold in into the bread cubes.

 

Let it steep for 10 - 15 minutes.




Mit feuchten Händen Knödel formen, anschließedn in Mehl wälzen und nochmals andrücken.

 

Form the dumplings with wet hands, then roll them in flour and press it again.

 

Heat up a pot of water and some salt and give the dumplings into the boiling salted water.

 

Simmer them for about 10 minutes in boiling water - done!
